Blessingways

A blessingway acknowledges a transition in life.  It blesses a woman as she moves into a new phase of life.  It is a recognition of our spiritual selves, and our need for ritual and acceptance.  A blessingway can incorporate the individual's religion of choice, but doesn't have to.

A blessingway can be celebrated for many different life transitions: birth, death, menarche, menopause, a new job, marriage, the dissolution of a marriage.  A blessingway for a new mother is a time to focus on the woman, and her own rite of passage into motherhood.  A baby shower can be held at another time; a blessingway is not to focus on the baby but on the woman who is about to become a mother. 

My blessingway services include helping you plan for your own blessingway, incorporating your wishes into the blessingway, and conducting the blessingway.  No two blessingways are the same; each is tailored to the individual who is being celebrated.  I come with ideas, but your ideas will take precedence. 

Fees for a blessingway are completely honoraria-based: you pay what you are able to and feel it's worth to you.  I will be blessed to participate in a blessingway regardless of monetary compensation.
